PRE LUDE:
I never knew I could hate so much! I used to be a nice guy, just an average "Joe on the street.". I had no speeding tickets, no traffic citations, paid my taxes on time every year and considered myself a contributing member of my community for over 18 years and to society.
I realized everything had changed as I was laying on the floor, blood pouring from my mouth, my lip split on broken teeth. My glasses gone, my ribs breaking as I feel them stomp my face and body with hard soled work boots. I could feel more teeth break as I am kicked in the face again and again. I remember wishing it would hurry up and be over, just before loosing conciseness.
When I woke up in the prison infirmary the nice me was gone. Now I'm an asshole and I can't wait to get some payback.
I want to strike back and don't care who I hurt, just as long as it is a certain type. Innocent or guilty has no bearing. It didn't for me. Society created me because of its own fear. Now it has to live with me and thousands of other victims of the Judicial System. A system gone wild with ridicules laws and a top heavy hierarchy grown fat, lazy, rich and famous.
What Happened . . .
Our Goals
Ultimately we would like to see the laws changed in Oregon to hold responsible those who cause an innocent person to be damaged by accusations and/or causing that person to loose property, freedom, their good name or possibly even their life or health. Even just one night in jail due to overzealous cop or detective trying to scare a confession should be cause for damages.
Right now Oregon law holds judges, prosecutors, law enforcement and even a public defender immune from any liability. There is no one to hold responsible for wrongful inprisonment or conviction.
We hope to see the laws change by finding politicians to champion our cause, but we will also be willing to form a "grass roots" movement where the voter and not politicians change the law. From what we can see at the moment, innocent people in prison just are not a priority and goes against the "tough on crime" attitude the politicians think the voters want.
In the interim, we hope to shine light on all the dark secrets that the justice system uses to further its cause. This is not just an Oregon concern, it is nation wide. We hope to expose how plea bargains are being used as a weapon to convict using the fear of draconian sentences and a 98% conviction rate if the accused tried to "fight" by maintaining their innocence. I was offered 75 months and that I was looking at 99 years if I did not take it! Oh Yeah, Bunny could have her stuff back. What a deal!
We hope to expose how public defenders and retained attorneys work with prosecutors to streamline prosecution offender to maxamize profit for the defense attorney and minimize expenses for prosecutors with real justice being thrown out the window.
We also plan to expose the raw brutality of the prison system, how it is run by inmate gangs and ineffectively controlled by brutal sadistic guards called correction officers.
We would like to see everyone aware of the inhumain treatment that we would not even impose on animals. Much so to the fact no normal innocent person would ever even think of accepting a plea bargain and exactly what rights they are giving up should they fall for the plea offer.
We would like to keep prisons for their original intent to keep humanoid animals away from polite society.
We would also like to put politicians in the spot light making public your views, both good and bad, on the wrongfully convicted.
Department Of Justice says 10 percent of those in prison are factually or actually innocent and this is an acceptable number. It may very well be a cost effective error rate. It may very well be prohibitively expensive to make absolutely sure those convicted are truly guilty! "Beyond reasonable doubt" really just means "pretty sure" or in the case of a sex offender – "Once Accused".
You may think that the cost of justice isn't really a priority right now - until it happens to you or a loved one.
